Russia says that USA has been supposedly encircling it through NATO, so this was a necessary defensive move. The opposite is true: it is the expansionist Russia that threatens her neighbors, and that is why they are resorting to NATO for protection. In fact, NATO often denies them this protection, as it did in 2008 with Georgia, when Russia, in order to punish it for its pro-Western dispositions, dismembered it and annexed territories of the country! After all, there was no NATO encirclement that forced Russia to brutally attack the Syrian democratic opposition or to flatten the small heroic Chechnya.
Putin says the West supposedly humiliated Russia and so she is now taking her revenge. In fact, it is not the Westerners who have thrown the Russian people into hunger and misery, but the Russian bourgeoisie themselves, including Putin himself, who were getting rich by looting their people.
That these are all pretexts is evidenced by the inconceivable brutality with which Putin questioned not only the independent statehood of Ukraine, but the very existence of the Ukrainian nation.
This is the reason why the Russian-Chinese neo-Hitler axis will not stop in Ukraine. Their true goal is the occupation of the rich Western Europe which they encircle her from the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa. The more they get what they want, the more they go hungry. Western capitalists have so far proven that they prefer to retreat in exchange for a little temporary calm. This is what they did on the eve of the Second World War.
So humanity is heading for a new World War as the two fascist regimes of Russia and China are about to launch their bloody major offensive to conquer the planet following the war strategy of Hitler's Germany and Imperial Japan. Their enemy is not so much the economically more powerful American imperialism, which is burdened with its own attacks on the peoples until its hegemony began to decline in recent years, as the peoples of the whole world, their national independence and their democratic achievements, their civilized life.
Every democrat, every patriot, every civilized person must once again stand up to the new Hitlerites cannibals and their agents, in a long and persistent struggle, which, as with the crushing of the old Nazism in 1945, will bring the prize of a freer, a more peaceful, creative and prosperous life for the peoples of the whole world and the Greek among them.
OAKKE calls on the truly left-wing people to become, as always, the vanguard fighters in the global anti-fascist struggle, not only because they represent in it the broad popular masses, but because only they can save the honor of the left, which is being stained all over the earth by the open or secret friends of the Russian invaders. Secret friends are those who now say: 'Down with Russia, down with USA', or 'down with the imperialist war'. But Russia's attack is against Ukraine and not against the USA as Putin himself claims using this claim as pretext to conquer her. For the real communists, this war is imperialist on the part of Russia but a just national liberation one on the part of Ukraine. There is no greater slander and provocation against the historical left than to raise red flags to defend the subjugators of the Ukrainian nation while the internationalist soul of the Russian revolution laid with the liberation of this nation and all the others who lived under the Great-Russian tsarist heel.
